Michael definitely showed off his athleticism in Friday’s game (8/30). On the offensive side of the ball, he showed he was a running QB. Ford II runs a system that keeps the ball in his hands. With a lot of Run-Pass-Option (RPO) he was able to make ways to be the mostly the sole big play option for this game. He finished the game with 18 carries for 113 yards. Having four “big runs” of over 10+ yards on the day. He struggled throwing the ball tonight. He threw under 10 attempts for the night, with two interceptions. But that wasn’t all on him. There were some plays where there may had been a missed block, and he was under pressure and ended up throwing a bad pass. He was sacked four times tonight.
